PiNBALL PRELUDE AGA INFO RELEASE FILE
-------------------------------------
Information
-----------
Name.................: Pinball Prelude AGA (Past, Present, Future)
Publisher............: Effigy Software
Machine requirements.: A1200 AGA minimum
Copy Protection......: MFM
Amount of disks......: 4
HD Installable.......: No
Supplied by..........: Semtex
Cracked by...........: Galahad
...... some time later Galahad actually got around to releasing Pinball
Prelude AGA....... Yes, well, I got so engrossed with Christmas and the
New Year, that I had lost ALL, yes ALL the disks that I had started to
crack this game on. I had already deleted the reader images of each of the
disks, and I was back to square one. As well as have job commitments, that
is the reason for this delay, plus one bug I could never get rid of! I
found it in the end, plus one of the original disks did not work on an
A4000 030, so I had to work around that one, which is why it is cracked the
way it is to make it compatible on ALL AGA Amiga's.
Not a nightmare to crack, but fuck me if the MFM on this game was wank of
the highest order. It basically worked when it felt like it. So as to
Hellfires original observation of the games protection, they were not
wrong. It took me three attempts to get all the data for the Second table.
Which is a bit of a bastard when I thought it was something I was doing
wrong!!! Ho hum, but now it is here, makes a change from bloody Manual and
RNC protection.
The MFM disk format was larger than that of an AmigaDOS disk, so obviously,
that is why the game is four disks, not three.
The disk swapping system is simple, even a nitwit can cope with it:
There are three tables. There are three data disks, with one boot disk.
The boot disk contains the bootfiles to get each of the three tables going.
The order of tables is chronological.... Whatever number table you select,
is the disk number you must insert into your internal drive when prompted
by a green screen. Once swapped, insert your disk, press either LEFT,
RIGHT or FIRE button to continue, wait a while, play the game....... its
idiot proof!!!!!!
You see, each of the original tables were all self booting from their own
disks.... no fancy menu screens or anything!!!!
And I ask those that like this game to support small developers. There is
a README file on DISK0 (Bootdisk), which contains the address with which to
order your copies from. They are only charging £19.99 Pounds Sterling...
which seems more than fair to me. If you REALLY want the Amiga to survive,
for christs sake, support those that are supporting the Amiga, otherwise
the Amiga in its present form is dead..... FACT!!!!
Peace to you all in 1996 - Signed Galahad of Fairlight
